Advisor at no cost to you. Walt Sandbeck, fertilizer specialist at
AGGRAND has been certified by the American Society of Agronomy as a
Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). CCAs are recognized by the US
Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service
(USDA-NRCS) as eligible to register as Technical Service Providers
(TSPs). They will provide assistance to farmers in protecting
resources through conservation planning in soil and water, nutrient,
crop and pest management. CCAs are also recognized as Agricultural
Experts by the USDA Risk Management Agency which administers the
Federal crop insurance programs.
Lawn and Landscaping Applications
In having success using AgGrand in generating healthy, drought resistant lawns, we first recommend a soil analysis so you know the PH.
Lawn care is actually the easiest application of all the AgGrand variants. For most lawns you want to start in the Spring with one quart of Natural Organic Fertilizer (NOF) 4-3-3, and use the hose end applicator available for sale in the Products section. Farm and Agriculture Applications
The
ever-increasing cost of oil and natural gas has affected everyone,
but it has completely overwhelmed the agricultural community. The
major raw materials used in the production of fertilizer are
hydrocarbon sources (mainly natural gas), and because the price of
natural gas is influenced by rising crude oil prices as industrial
and commercial users substitute among energy sources, this planting
season has been especially trying due to spiking fertilizer costs.
The cost of fertilizer has been rising even
more dramatically than fuel prices. According to the U.S. Department
of Agriculture, farmers paid an average of 65 percent more for
fertilizer in April 2008 than they did the previous year. Add higher
fuel prices to the mix, and costs for farmers have been
overwhelming. Many farmers who have traditionally used chemical
fertilizers can no longer afford them and simply go without. For
example, a Carleton,
• A ton of nitrogen fertilizer that cost $200 in 2003 now sells for $800 -- a 400 percent price increase.
• A ton of phosphate fertilizer that cost $240 in 2003 now sells for $1,199 -- a 500 percent price increase.
• A ton of potassium fertilizer that cost $144 in 2003 now sells for $700 -- a 450 percent price increase.

general this product costs an average application of $30.40 per acre if
